BMW introduced the 6 Series Gran Coupe, 4-door coupe latest from the German car manufacturer to compete with Mercedes-Benz CLS and Audi A7. Exhibited in April 2010 ago as a concept car at auto exhibition in China, the Beijing Motor Show, the BMW finally officially introduced version 4 door sports sedan from its Series 6. It was also a first step taken in producing BMW 4-door coupes, to compete with Mercedes-Benz CLS and Audi A7.
Not much has changed from the concept version of the production version of the 6 Series Gran Coupe. Just look a little different in some parts of the car, ie front gets light touch of a slightly changed from the concept version, reflectors on the rear bumper gets a new position and exhaust are different from those existing on the concept version of the 6 Series Gran Coupe. This car looks similar to the coupe BMW 6 Series, which was launched recently and they both looked a little flat.
In order to provide ideal comfort for passengers in the back while driving with this car, the 6 Series Gran Coupe comes with a dimension greater than two door coupe version, with a length of 5.0007 mm, width 1894 mm, and height 1392 mm, with a distance of 2968 between front and rear axle. 6 Series Gran Coupe is also 102 mm longer, 34 mm wider and 72 mm lower than the family sedan 550i BMW which also works.
Cabin 6 Series Gran Coupe’s somewhat similar to the 2 door coupe version. However, seating in cabin family sedan made by BMW Gran Coupe is slightly higher. In addition, the materials used bind the cabin is also an exclusive material. BMW 6 Series Gran Coupe is carrying the same luggage capacity owned 2 door coupe version of this, which are equally able to carry luggage weighing a total of 460 liters.
