Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport

The GT Academy program has been a success for its drivers. Ordonez took a LMP2 class win for Signatech Racing at Le Mans in 2011.

2011 Jaguar C-X16 Concept

The C-X16 is mounted in an aluminum chassis structure and measures 4,445 mm in length, 2,048 mm in width and 1,297 mm in height and has a wheelbase measuring 2,622 mm. In terms of overall length, the C-X16 is the smallest Jaguar created since 1954 and the XK120.
The interior is inspired by aeronautical ergonomics which features the joystick gear lever, and the abundance of toggle switches on the instrument panel. In addition to the hybrid system, the C-X16 also features a ‘Push to Pass’ boost system that draws its set-up from Formula 1’s Kinetic Energy Recovery System. This can be activated with a steering-wheel mounted button, providing increased acceleration via the car’s electric motor. The C-X16 is also equipped with an intelligent Stop/Start System which temporarily shut down the engine when the car stops, thus reducing emissions and improving fuel economy.

2011 Porsche 911 Carrera


Porsche has used the floor of the 2011 Frankfurt Motor Show to showcase the completely redesigned model of the Porsche 911 Carrera.
The new Porsche 911 Carrera comes lighter, lower in height and 100 mm longer in wheelbase while retaining the compact exterior dimensions. Its body is made of the aluminum-steel structure which significantly reduced the car weight by 45 kilograms, while riding on a set of 20-inch wheels. It now has a wider front track and features a new rear axle. Another noticeable modification is the remodeled exterior mirrors which now sit on the upper edge of the door and not on the mirror triangle.
The modern exterior design is complemented by a well-designed interior based from the Porsche Carrera GT. The driver is now even more closely integrated with the cockpit through the center console which rise up to the front with the high-mounted gear selector located especially close to the steering wheel. It also features a cluster of round instruments which includes a high resolution multifunction screen, the central rev counter and the ignition lock to the left of the steering wheel.
The new 911 Carrera is now powered by a 3.4L boxer engine capable of making 350 hp and when coupled with the optional Porsche-Doppelkupplungsgetriebe (PDK), it only consumes 8.2L per 100 km (NEDC) of fuel and only emits 194 g/km of CO2. This is the first Porsche sports car to make it below the 200 g/km mark. The 911 Carrera with PDK can sprints from 0-62  mph in just 4.6 seconds.
While the new Porsche 911 Carrera S gets its power from a 3.8L boxer engine capable of making 400 hp. When coupled with the optional PDK its fuel consumption is reduced to 8.7L/100 km with CO2 emissions of 205 g/km. The 911 Carrera S with PDK can sprints from 0-62 mph in 4.3 seconds that can be cut to 4.1 seconds with the help of the optional Sport Chorono package. Also available with the 911 Carrera S is the optional Porsche Dynamic Chassis Control (PDCC) active roll stabilization system which reduces lateral inclination when cornering.
The new 911 Carrera also offers features such as auto start/stop, thermal management, electrical system recuperation, the world’s first seven-speed manual transmission, and new electro-mechanical power steering.
The launch of the new 911 models gets under way on 3 December 2011, the new cars can be ordered from September 1st. Prices in Germany are 88,038 euro for the 911 Carrera and 102,436 euro for the 911 Carrera S, including 19 per cent VAT and market-specific equipment.

Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport L’Or Blanc is the world’s first vehicle to features porcelain elements in exterior and interior design. This one-off Bugatti Veyron version is a collaboration project between Bugatti and Konigliche Porzellan-Manufaktur – a historic porcelain company based in the German capital.
“At first, it seems to be unusual idea to use porcelain in a car, especially in the world’s fastest convertible,” said Dr. Stefan Brungs, Director of Sales and Marketing at Bugatti Automobiles. “But this is what Bugatti stands for: the realization of exceptional ideas whilst striving for the utmost in quality and aesthetics. This allow us to continue Ettore Bugatti’s heritage, who himself loved to experiment with new materials.”
The L’Or Blanc presents itself in impressive paintwork of blue and white based on the roads on the Stelvio Pass in Italy. Porcelain elements will be seen in seven different locations in and out of the L’Or Blanc. The exterior porcelain fittings include the wheel centers, fuel and oil filler caps, and the large “EB” badge on the back. While the interior porcelain fittings include the center-console surround; signed trim plates on each side of the center console; the removable, diamond-polished dish atop the center console; and a relief between the seatbacks depicting an elephant standing on its hind legs.
With the polycarbonate panorama roof open, the Grand Sport has a top speed of 217 mph, while with the roof closed it can hit a maximum speed of 253 mph, not only making it the fastest convertible in the world but also the fastest super sports car authorized for use on public roads. This one-off Bugatti Veyron Grand Sport L’Or Blanc is reported to worth 1.65 million euros or $2.4 million at today’s exchange rate.

KICHERER SLS Roadster Supersport GT/R


Tuning specialist Kicherer has released a sportier version of the new AMG Mercedes SLS Roadster which features modifications on the roadster’s aerodynamics, wheels, suspension, exhaust system, and of course with the engine.
The new KICHERER SLS Roadster Supersport GT/R features a new sporty front spoiler, side skirts and an especially hand-made GT front grill. It also features small aerodynamic fins made from high quality carbon that can be mounted on the bonnet and on the wings.
The SLS Roadster now rides on a set of three-part 20 inch RS-1 lightweight complete wheels with double-spoke design. The wheels are complimented by a coil over suspension with a so-called “Front Up” system which enables the driver to raise the front of the car by just pressing on a button.
At the back of the roadster is the new stainless steel exhaust with four oval end pipes controlled by dynamic pressure resoundingly allows the exhaust fumes out into the open. An integrated valve control gives the driver a choice between a sonorous and discrete tone.
For the engine, it gets the exclusive Kicherer’s sports air filter which boosts the output power from 563 hp to 621 hp.
